The Centre for Coaching is a Specialised Centre based at the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business (GSB), South Africa – a global top-100 executive business school. The Centre for Coaching’s programmes are all registered through the Faculty of Commerce as UCT short courses and form part of the GSB Executive Education suite of offerings – and thus are informed by both academic rigour and coaching practice.

Under the auspices of our learning partner, New Ventures West, the Coaching for Development (CfD) Course and the Professional Coaching Course (PCC) provide Level 1 and Level 2 Approved Coach Education hours to go towards applying for your individual International Coaching Federation (ICF) Credential. On completion of these two programmes, you will have 286 Approved Coach Education hours. This fulfils the ICF coach education requirements for an individual MCC (Master Certified Coach) ICF credential.

COMENSA, (Coaches and Mentors of South Africa) is an inclusive, umbrella professional association for individual and corporate providers, buyers and trainers of coaching and mentoring services. The Centre for Coaching is a registered Training Institution and Coaching/Mentoring Company member of COMENSA. The Centre for Coaching Facilitator, Janine Ahlers, is also a member. The Coaching for Development (CfD) provides Silver level COMENSA accreditation should you wish to register with COMENSA as a coach.

The Association for Coaching® (AC) is a leading independent, and not-for-profit professional body dedicated to promoting best practice and raising the awareness and standards of coaching, worldwide. In addition, our Leader as Coach short course has been accredited through the Association of Coaching (AC), headquartered in the UK. This accreditation signifies that the course meets specific standards set forth by the AC, which is recognised both nationally and internationally.
